After many years in the U.S. corporate world, we started our own business, Italian Days, in 2003, to offer authentic, Italian experiences to North American travelers. Being native Italians, as children we spent long summers at our grandparents' farmhouses, amidst the animals and the country fields. That's where we learned to appreciate the simple, yet authentic, farm food and the true produces of Nature and man. What child can ever forget the taste of fresh, extra virgin olive oil on just-out-of-the-oven baked bread? How do we relive the adventure of discovering ancient ruins or of our first tasting of wines? Who can recreate the smell of thick, homemade fettuccine with a savory, fresh tomato and basil sauce?
After immigrating to this great country, we often shared our love for our native lands as we helped organize trips to Italy for many our American friends and colleagues. We always put authenticity at the center of these arrangements and got so much positive feedback from returning friends that after many years behind a desk, we finally got it. We wanted to help people searching for the real Italy put together their authentic vacation.
We help you enjoy Italy, the ancient country of great food, wines, warm people, beautiful landscapes, history and culture. Several times a year, we travel to Italy, to select villa and apartment rentals, cooking classes, boutique hotels, guided visits, wine and food tasting, olive oil seminars and many other services to make your vacation in Italy unique and wonderful. We met and know all the wonderful people who open their homes and hearts to give you an inside view of the local lifestyle through cooking classes, wine tasting and guided visits to old, remote towns and villages. Every year new ruins are discovered and opened up for viewing. Every season in Italy authentic traditions are rekindled and revitalized. It's Italian Days' purpose to put all of these wonderful opportunities together and within easy reach of North American visitors.
