Reservations and payments
To reserve a private activity, villa and apartment rentals or hotel stay for his/her group, Client shall pay a non-refundable minimum deposit of 30% of the total price required for reservations of all activities, villa & apartment rentals, hotel and B&B stays (later referred as hotel stays) to Italian Days (later referred to as ID) upon reception of the Booking Confirmation. To avoid automatic cancellation, payment needs to be made within one week after receiving the Booking Confirmation. The balance of this payment will need to be made by client before 60 days prior to the start of the first activity or of the check in date at the villa & apartment rental or hotel stay. Client can also decide to pay the full amount at the time of the reservation. All payments can be done by cashier, bank check or through wire transfer on Italian Days bank account (an extra $15 administrative fee is applied for wire transfers). As an alternative, Client can pay using major credit cards (an extra 5% charge is applied for credit card payments).
When booking within 60 days of the start date of the first activity or of the check in date at the villa & apartment rental or hotel, payment is only allowed by bank wire transfer on Italian Days bank account (an extra $15 administrative fee is applied for wire transfers) or through credit cards (an extra 5% charge is applied for credit card payments). For last minute bookings payment needs to be done within 3 days after receipt of the Booking Confirmation.
If a deposit, the full contract price, or any pro ration thereof is not paid within the times as set forth above, ID may treat the contract as terminated and cancel the reservation. It shall retain any of the deposited monies paid by the Client so as to cover cancellation charges. ID is entitled to assess cancellation charges as set forth below. The remainder of the monies will be returned to the Client.
To pay with a check, via wire transfer or credit card, please follow the instructions you will receive in an email from @italiandays.com with the exact amount for your payment. Cashier or bank checks should be written out to Italian Days Inc. Please send checks, with the signed original form within one week after receipt of the Booking Confirmation form, to:

Prices of the activities, the villa & apartment rentals and the hotel stays
All prices quoted by ID are based on local supply costs and exchange rates at the date of web publication. These can be subject to variations due to the changes in the Euro/$ exchange rate and other costs beyond the control of ID. A full refund will be made to clients not wishing to pay increases provided that the Clients' written cancellation is received within 7 days after the price increase notification. No refund will be made for services that a Client decides not to use, after he/she booked, paid and started his/her journey. For cancellations prior to the date of the journey, see below.
Start time of the activities
Clients and their groups are asked to arrive at the activity location or meeting point at the time specified in the activity description or the booking confirmation documents.
Meals & drink during the activities
Meals and drinks are provided as specified in the activity description.
Physical condition of the clients to participate in activities
Clients should be in good physical condition and be prepared to do some serious walking, often in narrow streets, over cobblestones or in olive fields and vineyards. Many villages, towns and sections of cities are for pedestrians or locally owned cars only. Most visited public and private buildings do not have elevators, only stairs.
If a client has to withdraw from an activity after it started, for reasons of illness, this client will need to obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim. ID regrets that it is not able to make refunds for absences from an activity, including but not limited to, missed meals or sightseeing.
Activity Participants behavior
During some of our activities alcoholic beverages (wines mostly) will be consumed. Clients are required to act in a responsible manner at all times, and to respect other guests', the instructors/staff's and the property's integrity. We reserve the right to require a Client or group member to withdraw from an activity in case of improper behavior or state of drunkenness and to limit the amount of wine or alcohol group members consume during an activity. ID bears no responsibility whatsoever for behavior or acts by activity participants, including toward other activity participants.
Transportation and routes
Transportation is normally not provided as part of the activity. If it is, this is specified in the individual activity description.
While ID normally does not offer activities on such days, note that due to some unknown local or national holidays or because of circumstances beyond the control of ID or the local guide, sometimes museums and other locations may be closed. The route or activity will be adapted to cater to such events.
What is not included in the activities, the villa & apartment rentals and the prices
Air transportation to/from, and within Italy. Tips to instructors and guides. Ground transportation to and from the starting point unless specified in the activity description. Personal expenses incurred such as telephone, fax, laundry, trip cancellation insurance, travel and health insurance. Sightseeing, services or meals other than those specifically mentioned in the activity description are not included.
Website Information
Italian Days has taken care to insure the accuracy of all information displayed on its web site relating to the activities, villa & apartment rentals and hotels advertised, but nothing on the ID web site shall be treated as a term or condition of this Contract. Tastes and habits being very personal, ID shall not be liable with regard to any difference of opinions as to the condition or quality of the activities, villa & apartment rentals and hotels advertised.
Cancellation policies Cancellation policy for Activities and Villa & Apartment Rentals: Client can cancel one or all of the activities and villa & apartment rental accommodations. Such cancellation needs to be notified to Italian Days in a written form via fax at fax # 518-261-1235.
Depending on when written cancellation is received, following cancellation charges will apply:
(i)
For cancellations received 60 or more days prior to the first activity or villa & apartment rental check in date, as that date is specified in the Booking Confirmation; only the amount of the non-refundable deposit will be charged.
(ii)
For cancellations received between 59 and 31 days prior to above mentioned first activity or villa & apartment rental check in date; a charge of 50% of the full contract price will be charged.
(iii)
For cancellations received between 30 and 15 days prior to above mentioned first activity or villa & apartment rental check in date, a charge of 80% of the full contract price will be charged.
(iv)
For cancellations received between 14 and 8 days before above mentioned first activity or check in date, 90% of the full contract price will be charged.
(v)
For cancellations received less than 7 days before the first activity or villa & apartment rental check in date, and for no shows, 100% of the full contract price will be charged.
If a specific villa or apartment rental or an activity has a different cancellation policy, this will be spelled out in the booking confirmation documents at the time of booking and will overule ID cancellation policy.
Cancellation policy for Hotel stays
For cancellation of hotel stays, in addition to adhering to the cancellation policy of each individual hotel, Italian Days, Inc. will charge an administrative cancellation fee of $50 per booking plus any credit card fee costs.

Cancellation insurance
The purchase of Trip Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking is strongly recommended.
Modification by client
Even after receiving the Booking Confirmation, Client can modify activity, villa & apartment rental and hotel check in dates, subject of this Contract. Note that such modification can be considered as a cancellation and charges could apply as provided above, per activity, villa & apartment rental or hotel stay modified. Modification(s) need to be done in written form to Italian Days (see above).
Liability
ID acts as an intermediary platform for tourist services on offer in Italy. It gets a % on each sold activity, rented property or hotel room booked. All activity providers, property owners and hotel are independent contractors. ID in no way owns or operates the equipment, vehicles or facilities to be used during the activities and assumes no responsibility for the negligent act and/or omissions of the contractors, their employees, agents or representatives. All bookings are accepted subject to the conditions imposed by these contractors. ID will not issue refunds in the event of these contractors' delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, sickness or force majeure.
Dispute resolution
ID and the client expressly agree that all disputes arising out of this contract and not administratively resolved by ID shall be resolved applying New York law exclusively, in the courts of Manhattan, New York, to the exclusion of all other courts and jurisdictions.
Acceptance
By signing the Booking Confirmation the Client and all members of his/her group agree to accept and abide by the terms and conditions of this contract. Further, the Client acknowledges having read the description, voucher, itineraries and reviewed all other information we sent to him/her referent to the activities, villa & apartment rental and hotel description and booking terms that the Client and his/her group registered for. For any communication or correspondence, ID will only correspond with and direct all communications to the Client signing the Booking Confirmation.
Payment
Signing the Booking Confirmation above, the Client acknowledges he/she is a member of an activity group, a villa & apartment rental or a hotel stay booking. Depending on the Client's chosen payment method, his/her final payment is evidenced by the Client's credit card statement, or Client's cancelled bank check or wire transfer transaction on Client's bank statement.
