- The highlight of our trip for me was the appreciation of Umbria through the vast knowledge of our guide Rosella. L.G., Sydney, Australia September, 2007

- Very, very informative! We will recommend you to any of our friends traveling to Italy. S.A., San Francisco, CA May, 2007

-I wanted to thank you for the great tour of Assisi. We will recommend you to anyone that is visiting Assisi. A.M. September, 2005

- On behalf of Susanne, Joe, Jill and myself, thank you for the time you gave us in sharing your vast knowledge and experience. We had an unforgettable trip which we all of us enjoyed wonderfully. L.M., Maryland July, 2005

- You gave us a wonderful trip filled with knowledge about art and history. Without you we would have seen a lot but without telling us about what we saw in such detail, it wouldn't have meant so much. J.M. South Carolina June, 2005

-Thank you for all your wonderful guidance to us when we visited Assisi last month. Our group was so happy with you. The next day they were trying to talk like you. So charming. So much expression. J.J. San Francisco, CA May, 2005

-We had a wonderful time in Italy, but our favorite time was the afternoon we spent with you in 'Spello Bello'.-- I certainly learned a great deal about St. Francis and the painters of his time, but I also experienced the present day hill towns and met many wonderful people in the process. May, 2005
Let our knowledgeable, English fluent guides take you on a guided visit to discover the Etruscan and Roman origins or the magnificent artworks of Umbria. Visits can be customized to meet your demand. Here are a few suggested itineraries for ˝ day guided visits.

Holistic & artsy Umbria:
The focus of this visit is the town of Assisi, birth place of St. Francis (1182-1226 ) and cradle of the Modern era in painting with the works of Giotto (1267-1337) the famous Florentine painter and architect. The tour includes the Basilica of S.Francesco, with its proto-Renaissance artworks from 13th and 14th century by Giotto, Cimabue, Simone Martini and Pietro Lorenzetti. The gothic Basilica of Santa Chiara, not only an important art site but also linked to some of the most compelling episodes of Saint Francis’ life.

Etruscan & Roman Umbria:
This visit is centered on Perugia renowned town of Etruscan-Roman origins. We will learn about history and little known details of the Etruscans in Umbria by visiting the Etruscan Necropolis and the Archeological Museum. The tour also includes an Etruscan well, a Roman mosaic and the Hypogeum dei Volumni (2nd century BC) – a fascinating example of an Etruscan grave.

Medieval & Romanic Umbria:
This tour focuses on the town of Spoleto. The visit starts at the early Medieval chapel, Tempietto del Clitunno, near the river Clitunno. This site still puzzles historians, some of whom believe it to be the most startling and unexpected early Christian and Medieval classical revival. We then take a scenic walk over the Bridge of the Two Towers a 14th century bridge build over a Roman aqueduct. Included in the tour is also the Romanic Church of Sant’Eufemia (12th century), the only church in Umbria with a matroneum – a gallery on the side of the church from where women followed the religious functions.
