Description
About the Villa: After entering the main gate of the property, one feels like stepping back in history, at the site of a villa that has been in the owners' family since 1700. Within the property, the current owner brought back to light parts of a Roman theater exceptionally preserved. During the summer months, actors perform classic plays in the Roman theater.
On the estate, there is also a small private chapel surrounded by with old trees, flowers and aromatic plants. The rest of the estate is covered in olive trees, producing pesticide free, high quality extra-virgin olive oil. The park has several benches placed in view points where one can relax in the shade and enjoy the view. Around the villa there are pergolas and tables for dining al fresco pampered by the personnel at the villa. From the swimming-pool there is a wonderful view over the olive groves and the town of Viterbo.The décor of the villa is elegant and classic.
Stepping inside the house is like stepping back in time to an an atmosphere enriched by family treasures: antique pictures and books, statues, painted ceilings, decorated fireplaces, refined artisanal décor. The rooms are large and full of light, the bathrooms are elegant, and the most modern comforts blend effortlessly with the rest of the furniture (flat screen TVs, even in the bedrooms).
Next to the villas, the old farmhouse has recently been restored into a state-of-the-art guest house, which can host additional eight guests. In the farmhouse the décor reflects its farming origins mixed with elegance with the use of earthy colors. The owners of the villa live in a part of the farmhouse on the property and are always available to satisfy any requests from their guest.
The villa includes domestic staff who is in charge of cleaning and upon request food shopping, preparing and serving breakfast and dinner (the hours and costs are defined in the price-list). At the villa guests can also book cooking classes with produce of the estate. Located less than 50 miles from Rome, the area of Viterbo is ideal to sightsee the Eternal City as well as the beautiful countryside of Viterbo but also the green region of Umbria and Southern Tuscany.
